Timea Sido

Award winning British designer Timea Sido graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in 2001. Timea established her ceramics studio in 2002 at the prestigious Cockpit Arts London, where she designs and hand crafts her beautifully intricate ceramic artefacts. Timea’s work ranges from hand crafted bespoke work to design for manufacture and batch production. Her clients have included Kevin McCloud, Molton Brown, Kelly Hoppen, Aveda and the Great Eastern Hotel, London. Timea’s enchanting contemporary ceramics add elegance and individuality to any interior.
Timea’s work was recently featured in ‘Breaking the Mould’ a new contemporary ceramics book published by Black Dog Publishing in 2007
Timea won Best Dressed Stand @ PULSE 08 for her innovative display and enchanting collection of ceramics, textiles and gifts.

The Collection:
Timea’s Bespoke Tangled Web Collection replicates an ever-tangling spider’s web, her enchanting work challenges conventional ceramics, through the development of an innovative technique in which delicate organic lines of clay are formed and layered to construct the final piece. This intricate pattern structure and fine detailing is Timea’s signature style.
The collection features enchanting bowls, vessels, boxes, t-lights and other decorative artefacts, all embodying the ‘tangled’ pattern. Each piece is hand crafted by Timea using fine White Earthenware. 

 At present the Bespoke Collection features two distinctive designs; Fragile Fragment, and Tangled Web. The exquisite, hand crafted Fragile Fragment pieces explore the unity between the discovered tangled lines and a solid smooth surface. While the beautiful Tangled Web pieces use the tangled lines only, to create a delicate structure.
